Some time ago, I read that apple cider vinegar (ACV) was like, the be-all-end-all. A week later, I found myself in a local organic grocery store buying a liter of it.
Would I take a straight shot of it in the morning? Would I dilute it with water? How on earth was I supposed to down this stuff? (If you have ever smelled it, you’d know what I was thinking.) I tried diluting it with water, and after the first sip, I had to spit it out in that stereotypical-movie-way. Yuck. But after searching a bit on the world wide web, I found that I might make it less distasteful if I mixed it with a few other ingredients—which has led me to my new morning routine.
Here’s what I’ve started doing:
- Mix two ounces of water, one tablespoon of lemon juice, one tablespoon of ACV, and cayenne pepper in some kind of container.
- Pour that stuff into a shot glass, because honestly, it makes it go down easier.
- Down it and chug a lot of water after.
It’s not a “pretty” routine that I’ve got going on, but *fingers crossed* it’ll make me feel good if I keep with it? If Jennifer Aniston does it, I’m sold, to be quite frank. Even if it tastes pretty nasty.
If you’re down to experiment some with ACV, the good news is, you don’t have to drink it to experience its benefits! Yeah, sure, you can take a tablet of it in the morning, or you could just skip the whole digesting-it-thing altogether and try rinsing your hair with it, or diluting the ACV and using it as toner.
Moral of the story, if you wanna try ACV, now is the time! Seize the day! But if you wanna stick to that daily cup of joe, by all means, stick to it.
